I have a spare climate control ECU and blend door motor (from an junked
'89 405) when (not if) mine fails. If the replacement fails quickly I am
going to replace with a manual cable (like a choke cable) to work the
heater flap, or install a my own toggle switch like Ned Bagno did in his
405. Ned has used his switch for 1+ years without a problem. Ned's
installation is documented in the early '97archives I think.

I once inquired about getting the parts that make up the manual climate
system offered on low-end 405's in Europe, but got nowhere. I would give
Neat a chance however.
