There is a kit for the 405 strut top a couple metal plates
one is the spring plate, a swivel (steering) bearing, a rubber
bushing, couple washers and a nut. This kit eliminates the
knocking that is cause by a mushed out shock rubber and
weird steering that comes from seized swivel bearings.
Good for 100,000 mi on reasonable roads. The individual
components are not available separately; believe me I've tried.
This kit costs less than $100 per side. From Brian Peugeot Holm
