The clutch pedal mechanism on my 505 has suddenly developed an annoying
squeak. Could the squeak be a sign of impending trouble? (A few days after
the clutch pedal mechanism started squeaking on a Fiat that I owned, the
clutch pedal mechanism bent and the cable broke.) Or is it something
relatively benign that could be fixed by a squirt of WD40? Or is squirting
WD40 on the clutch pedal mechanism not a good idea, considering that
electrical componentry might be close by?
TIA,
Hugo
