I recently mail-ordered a couple of neat accessories from Imparts, St.
Louis, Missouri, (800) 325-9043, http://www.imparts.com:

1) A dial-type tire pressure gauge. What's special about it is it has a
button that lets you bleed off pressure while taking a pressure reading
interactively w/the gauge pressed onto the valve. I don't know how they do
it elsewhere, but in Seattle, you put a quarter in the slot, and the
compressor runs for what feels like 2 or 3 minutes. With a pencil-type
gauge, getting the pressure right entailed a lot of trial and error, and I
could count on needing two quarters b4 the pressure was right on all 4. With
this gauge, I just overinflate the tires a bit, then go around and deflate
each one to the right pressure, with time to spare on one quarter.

Imparts carries several pressure gauges, not all of which have this feature,
so check out their Web page and be sure you get the right one. They also
offer a rubber boot (which I got) to protect the gauge, but note that that
has to be ordered separately.

2) An oil drain valve that replaces the factory drain plug--no more need
for a drain plug wrench or crush washers. I heard about this on the Audi
listserver. The valve turns out to be imported by Fumoto Engineering of
America, Torrance, California. Mine arrived just after my latest oil change,
so I haven't installed it yet, but it looks pretty solid. To rotate the tab
that opens the valve, you have to lift it (against spring-loading) over a
step, so I think there's little danger of it opening when you don't want it
to. They make these to fit most cars: F-105 fits 505 gas turbos, and F-108
fits over Peugeots.

I'd also add that the folks at Imparts were v. courteous and profssional.
