re:1982 505 sti smog check

to pass B.C.'s AirCare my mechanic and I did this annual dance.
1. bottle of injector cleaner
2. reduce timing from 8 to almost 0
3. reset idle to min level ( 8-900 rpm i think)

Chug down to the test centre in a now underpowered pig
Pass aircare
return to mechanic's and reset timing and idle
power away for another year.

I know this violates the spirit of snog checks, but the previous owner had
stripped out the polution control equipment.
