The 405 central locking system locks doors and trunk but only unlocks the
doors. You have to manually unlock the trunk. I'm guessing that this is a
security feature that is designed to complement the remote entry on the
Mi16. This way if you unlock the doors, or someone unauthorized unlocks
your doors, your truck remains secure.
I don't know if you can change the system to unlock the trunk with the
doors, I don't see it being worth the time and effort.
