Hi,

Last night I managed to work on my sunroof and following several
suggestions I adjusted the yellow cam to allow the sunroof to close at
the correct point. In doing this I took off the motor to lubricate the
cable etc. and noticed that the cable was very worn (causing the motor
to slip) and brown in colour. It looks like water has rusted the cable -
out came the Haynes manual and I investigated how to replace cable!

The Haynes manual appears to suggest that 2 cables exist, one on either
side of the roof. However, when you take off the motor a single cable is
visible which indicated that the slides on either side work on a push
'n' pull motion, connected together by the single cable. Am I correct? I
want to fully understand how the roof works before I go any further.

Also, any other tips about replacing the cable?
