405 DL mid-range power was '89 405s disappointing

Doug,

My 405 DL drives the same way, I'm always having to floor it to get power
in the mid range. I think something's not right with it but I can't put
my finger on it. My point of reference is all screwed up as well since
my other car is a 505 turbo wagon.

I've been working on trying to identify the source of the power slump but
don't have a real answer. O2sensors, and plugged cats can be part of the
problem. So can dirty distributors, plug wires, dirty fuel filters etc.
Most likely is a combination of things brought on by the age of the car.

The 405 is a quick handling little car and cruises very nicely, I find
it's quieter than my 505.
