405Mi16 vs 405STDT - Mid Range Power

I'm currently having discussions with a friend over whether my Mi16 or
his STDT is the quicker car for over-taking. At first I thought the Mi16
would be quicker, but having been in his car I'm unsure. He claims, the
STDT was produced with a bigger turbo than the other 405 diesels which
gives him the over-taking ability. I'm more interested in the
over-taking power and with the price of fuel at =A32.60 per gallon and an
expected rise in my daily mileage I would consider the STDT as my next
car.

Can anybody tell me about the STDT and for interest, does anyone have
performance figures for these 2 cars?
