Peugeot must have gotten pretty far down the road for all wheel drive
importation , since my '92 405DL Sportwagon came with an all wheel drive owners
manual (!).

If AWD were to have been imported (Peugeut Quattro), they would have needed to
boost the horsepower quite a bit over the modest amount available on a standard
405 engine.
