My ZDJL runs at or below the half way mark on the coolant temperature gauge with AC running. He says his gauge stabilizes at about 3/4 of the way up. Is this about right for that engine? i am thinking perhaps the previous owner put in a hot

I can't speak for NH weather but here in the Southern States where we
see some very hot humid conditions, it isn't unusual for the water temp
to be right around the 3/4 mark with A/C being run on full. Of course,
some cars systems are better than others but basically 1/2-3/4 is
considered normal here. This of course, assumes that the gauge readings
are accurate and that there isn't a problem with the temperature sending
unit for example.

To date this year in our region we have had 24 days of 100 plus temps.
No telling how many 98, 99 degree days we have seen. :-( ....and no end
in sight!
