Microcars in Houston

Perhaps it was the Mercedes A-Class? I figure if there is anywhere to
drive one of those, it would be Houston - no moose for miles around!
Speaking of European cars currently not available in the US, I have
seen the following dates quoted for manufacturer reentry:
Maserati is planning on returning in 2002 with their new Giugiaro
designed coupe (by '02 there will also be a Spyder version), which is
tentatively called the Mistral.
I just read in european car magazine that Alfa Romeo will potentially
be returning in 2003 with the 166 (succesor to the 164), which was
seen in the US for hot-weather testing.
DeTomaso should be here (legally) by next year with the Guara and the
new Mangusta (I saw the prototype in their factory a year and a half
back - a stunning car).
BMW is planning on reintroducing MG, Austin-Healey and Rover cars
sometime in the near future, perhaps in the next 5 years.
And of course, everyone on this list saying that Peugeot will be back
in the millenium. We'll see about that one!
BTW, anyone hear if Renault or Fiat/Lancia are planning on coming back
anytime soon?
