The 404 was also modified by garage Dangel to 4wd form.
This link has a lot of 4wd vehicule: http://4wd.sofcom.com/vehicle.html
but only list the Peugeot P4 (Mercedes G-wagon frame and some body
parts with Peugeot engine) and Renault 2087 4wd (basically the
"panier a salades" that the french police uses with 4wd).
Of course you have the Renault TP3 and the more serious TRM serie,
the CCF serie and more recently the Messager (or is it Messenger).
Then of course anybody who is a fan of extreme rallying knows about
the Berliet trucks (this french company makes fire engines, semi,
full trucks up to 8x8) used in particular by the legion etrangere.
Citroen had the Safari, maybe others.
Now back to peugeot, Dangel did at least the conversions on the 404
and 504, and maybe the 505 but I do know the 505 4wd exist and so
does the 405 4wd.
Regarding how the conversion worked, I'm sure Brian Holm can
explain in detail as he saw the actual setup. As for the skid pan,
I still think the 504 pickup is the place to get it.
