Any filter that is mounted horiz. or inverted MUST has a anti-drain valve
to work. The previous owner of my car was religious about using Peugeot
filters. I plan on using Pure 1. As to oil, I am going to continue with
full-synthetic as he always did. For hot weather, 15-50 is probably the
best. If you are going to run it below 32F, consider something lightet or
extend your warm up time to sure the turbo gets oiled. If you did not run
syn. up until, be prepared for possible oil leaks. I have that problem on
my wagon now but stick with syn. Went I put the new valve cover on my
N9TE, it looked like new inside **NO** sludge or varnish of any kind.
