405 trunk lock; easy fix.

I know there was a discussion a while ago about the fact that the '89
(maybe '91?) 405 trunk lock does not open when you unlock the doors. I
just fixed mine on my 1989 Mi16 so that it opens when I unlock the doors
with either the key or the remote. It took me about an hour to figure it
out and actually wire it, so if you read how to do it below it should take
15 minutes. You can make it so it always opens with the doors, or you can
put a switch in the trunk so you can choose when you want it to open.

You will need one wire about 4 feet long to do the job. Basically this is
all you have to do: Remove the panel covering the motor to the trunk lock
(it pulls off after you pull the weather seal off). Find wire 201A going
to the set of ground wires near the left taillight (7 wires all to one
ground). Remove 201A from this group (just cut it).

Now find the motor to the gas filler door lock and pull the plug on it (it
is behind the panel on the right side of the car). Take your new wire and
connect it from 201A to wire 201 on the gas filler door plug (Do not alter
the wiring to the plug, just add your new wire to 201). Plug it back into
the gas lock. Route the wire so it doesn't interfere with anything and
you're done. If you want the ability to have the trunk require the round
Peugeot key, you can easily install a switch inline with your new wire in
the trunk that has the ability to put wire 201A to ground (!)WITHOUT(!)
putting wire 201 to ground.

All you're doing with the above procedure is allowing 201A to have both
positive and negative current. The way it is now, it can only have
negative which only allows the trunk lock to lock.
