I asked a Arlo (a turbo expert) about this and he said that the
N9TEA unit is the same as the N9TE unit except it has an exhaust
housing similar to the N9T's (bigger).

I'm thinking that isn't right... The N9T and N9TE turbos also look
completely different to boot.

Erikson (from which I ordered my friend's reman turbo) offered
two varieties--an '85, and an '86-up. They apparently had no knowledge
of the N9TEA's being different (though slightly). They sent me
the '86-up version. It should work just fine however.
