You are referring to the Dangel 4x4 which was based on the 504.
You could get the 71 horse 2.3 diesel or the 100 horse 2.0 (XN)
gas motor. You're right--they had some serious ground clearance,
and with their mean looking LT-type tires, they looked like
they meant business!
