Repair of these is incredibly easy. Just drill into the glovebox frame in the right place and use a large headed sheet metal screw. Adjust the screw to the right height so it operates the catch, and its better and way more durable than new!
Just make sure you drill in the right position the first time because unless you are way off there is no second chance.
