Diesel Heater/Glow plugs 505

Well I never got the AC fixed in the 85 505 TD, but since the weather is
cooling off here in Fla I figured I would start to drive it again,
However the glow plugs are not working. I went through the Haynes manual
and they dont even mention how to trouble shoot if the glow plugs are not
activated. They talk about how to check the Heater plugs and the control
unit but thats it. Now I did have an extra Bosh control unit, the greenish
thing up on the fire wall. I have replaced it with a new one but still the
glow plug light on the dash is very dim. I am going to go out and
check to see if the glow plugs are getting power ( encase the light in the
dash is bad ) . But where else do I look?
