    Make sure the connections on the positive battery terminal are
    healthy--high resistance there will greatly affect glow plug
    performance.

    Check over all those connections.

    Test each glow plug with an ohmmeter. Disconnect each one, and test
    the resistance between the stud and a healthy ground point on the
    head. Each glow plug should be less than 1 ohm. An open circuit
    indicates a bad plug.

    I have tried Autolite glow plugs, but somehow they don't seem to do
    as good as the original Bosch ones in really cool weather... I can't
    explain why.
