    Larry, I am looking at 82 manual, page G2.205. The photo is not as clear as
    I would like, but quite visible is a light colored unit attached to the
    panel just below the I/P Illumination Dimmer. Two description arrows point
    to this unit (or it and something over or under it). The descriptions are:
    "flasher" and "low fuel calibration potentiometer." I can't find any further
    info on the second unit, but you do want the flasher with 3 connections on
    it, one of them probably with two wires coming off it, and numbers you can
    use! Hope this helps. The configuration may be a little different for 86,
    maybe someone else will weigh in on this.
