I don't think it's the alt but rather the A/C pump does that when the
motor mount behind the pan is shot. I put in a plastic pipe splice
piece with hose clamps, to hell with a new hose it's probably $65.
My A/C doesn't work so I'm going to remove the whole business
and run a short belt tensioning it with the alt. If you want the
number of the short belt write me. The right inner fender mud splash thing
was missing when I got the car maybe that contributed. It was Cullemore's Mi16
a real mess from stem to stern. The missing mud shield for sure caused the
belt to be full of little pieces of rock sand glass and other misc. crud.
