When I last compared about 15 years ago I found the
difference between H4 bulbs with 55 watt highs versus
100 watt highs seemed to be close to negligible. They
just get much hotter and might even melt nearby
plastic. Stick with 55 or 60 and you don't have to add
relays if you don't want to.
I got excited about the posting about the euro lights for
$125, till I found out that was each not a pair.
Re recent discussions on wagon snow capability:
IMHO snow capability is 80% tires, 20% the rest, for most any
car. (RWD pickups are another story) The guy who
started the thread probably had
crappy or old tires. And of course tire quality in the
snow has nothing to do with in the dry.

Did you get any replies to your post? I would be interested in reading
them but don't recall seeing any to the list. Last week, Ebay had a used
set of 5- 3/4" round Cibie high beams (2 of the 4 required). It was at
$22 for a long time until the last few hours when it closed at $97. I
was going to bid but saw no point when it went above $50. Funny thing is
you can buy a new set for $114. I was going to convert my wagon to the
round lights but it seems to be less work and expense to stay rectangular
so I just ordered a set of the Euro glass lights for my 85 XN6 wagon.
What's a good place to get the H4 bulbs? What wattage should I run? I
will install relay and wires to handle the extra current.
