In two years I was only stranded twice. Once, I ran the battery down
trying to start (it was -25=B0 wincchill), so someone helped jumpstart
the car. The other time, I was travelling through Oklahoma. The car
sat overnight outside in -50=B0F windchill!! I had it towed to a Ford
dealership (they didn't like me). I told them that all I needed was an
electrical outlet. They said yeah, right. They had a HUGE backup of
dozens of gasoline Ford cars there because none of them would start.
They "knew" my foreign diesel car whose name no one could pronounce
wouldn't start. I bought a 100ft extension cord and a hairdryer.
Plugged it in and left it on the injectors for 20-30 minutes. Then
started the car right up. Ha, ha.

For anyone who lives in an area of the world that gets snow/ice/subzero
F temps, what's the lowest temperature that you've been able to get
your diesel / turbo diesel car started without plugging it in? Mine
wouldn't start the other day, it had sat all night and the temp was say
11 F. It wanted to go but couldn't quite get there...had to plug it in
for a while.
thanx
