Engine whistling/whining -- 505 V-6

There is an intermittent whine/whistle coming from by 505's engine bay.
It sounds like a vacuum leak to me. What's the most likely source or
the best place to look?

Also, in the compartment where the jack and lug wrench are housed,
there is what looks like a big solenoid. I'm wondering if its the
central lock control. Anyone know?
