    My problem began with a dead battery. There was some though that my
    ignition switch was bad since last week - when I turned the key off the
    engine kept running.

    Since the alternator was suspect I replaced it (under warranty) . I
    reconnected the battery after I installed a new alternator and the
    auxiliary fans (in front of the radiator will not go off) Incidentally
    the car seems to run fine.

    Would an incorrectly installed (hooked up wrong) alternator cause this
    problem?
    If not the only idea I have left is that my ignition switch is faulty.
