    I recently had a 505 sedan towed away for 50 bucks. It was stripped down
    completely. I think they get paid by weight and the less the car has the less
    they get paid, and apparently the price for scrap has been fairly low and
    steady for sometime now so that its not worth their while to pick up stripped
    cars unless you pay them to come get it. Also, the labor to get the car on
    the flatbed is more involved with no steering, no wheels and no front or rear
    suspension.
