    I scare myself when I say it out loud, but they actually are improving.
    I had a Buick Century (or regal) for a rental that was a nice car.
    I was very impressed with it....for an American car. Not a slam, but
    Americans and Europeans have different values when it comes to cars.
    After deducting the out right americanisms of that car it was not half bad.
    The GM 3.8 liter v6 has vastly improved from the days when it was in my 81
    Buick Century. (AKA the car that forced me from american makers The handling
    was not like the tuna-boats of the past. (more like a Bass boat!) The ABS
    system was good. It still pisses me off that GM can be so cheap as not to
    offer mud flaps standard on their bigger vehicles. Cheap as* bas**rds.

    Kudos to Delco for offering CD players that read MP3 CDs!!
