This is a hoax. If you really wanted to propagate a virus, you'd choose
a slightly less eyebrow-raising subject line.
> Not too many people seem to know about this yet,

Please don't. You'll only perpetuate the hoax.
>This
> information was announced yesterday morning by IBM.
As were at least 37 hoaxes before this.
>Please share it with

Until such time as gullibility is eradicated, that is.

Or don't. This is an attempt by someone to get their hoax email spread
as quickly as possible.
For doubting Thomases: my operating system is neither Windows, nor
MacOS, nor Linux. The assumption is that the 'Cat Colonic' virus is
capable of spreading across four operating systems that are entirely
unrelated. This is not possible. Ignore it; it's a hoax.
