    Another way to do this is to crawl under the car and manually operate the short shaft coming out of the bell housing. p.s. another thing to check on the master clutch cylinder is that the internal spring is not broken. This happened to me and the symptoms were the same as a failing cylinder. The piston never returns fully and the clutch never fully disengages.
