    Hello all,

Personally, I think it would be a shame if, of all companies, Peugeot began
producing cars with huge engines like that. Sure, Americans are used to 3.5
V6 and 4.2 V8 engines, but let's face it, that's way too much for a car the
size of a 406. The beloved 505 came with 2.0 and 2.2 litre engines, and
that was plenty. My 2.2 505 Turbo has more get-up-and-go than any Passat or
Camry or Accord or Intrigue or whatever, and it's actually a little bigger
and a lot more spacious inside than any of those. With just 2/3 the engine
displacement. The Europeans should uphold their reputation of making fuel
efficient cars that have small engines yet continue to please the driver.
After all, it's the year 2000, and gas is not going to last forever (with
all those spotless Ford F350s that have never left the interstate and those
    huge SUVs running around everywhere).
