    Actually, the main difference between US and European tests is a greater
    emphasis on head-on crashes in the US, while Euro tests emphasize offset
    crashes. Thus a vehicle that performes very well in the US tests may be
    less impressive in European tests, and vice-versa. Incedentally, the US is
    considering the possibility changing to the European standards because
    they are closer to real-world conditions (How many people do you know hit
    brick walls head on at 60 mph?).
