If the ECUs for the N9TE and N9TEA are really the same, my guess
is as good as yours. Maybe it is only a marginal difference
that is necessary for the extra boost pressure, but easily
trimmed by feedback any other time.
I remember seeing somewhere that the N9TE and N9TEA used
different fuel pressure regulators (originally), but the
replacement P/Ns are the same. If true, this could explain
the mystery. I'll compare Sol's original N9TEA regulator
with the N9TE version currently on his car.
