Just a note on VDO Gauges.

My VDO (-20 to +30 PSI) Gauge needle shakes noisily at 15-16 PSI (Maybe
higher, Don't Know, Never been there). I have heard Others complain about
the same thing.

I also used colored silicon hose through the firewall without a problem. I
don't know the brand.

Yes, I used Hosetechnqiues. I brought it through at the speedo cable
grommet.

I bought 15 and 10 ft respectively and have lots left. I'll be using it on
my wagon.
