Bone dry you say. I certainly didn't take any gas out. I doubt the
previous owner would have gone through the trouble of siphoning the tank
after the car died.
I don't remember any leaks.

Could it have evaporated in the year and a half to 2 years I owned it?

What are the chances it broke down with an almost empty tank?

Anyway if there were only a small amount of fuel left and you sent it
through the filters it probably clogged them. Filters would be my next
step. Again, At least you will know they are new and good.

I've gone through the whole electrical path, checking
the continuity of wires, resistance of injectors, resistors,
that the relays did in fact work, that both fuel pump did
work and that the injectors did get their pulse.

The car did finally start at some point, ran but not
as smoothly as I was expecting. A little smoke at
the rear (not unusual considering all the carb cleaner
that's been shoved down it's throat) and some noise,
like the clicking of a relay about 3 times per second.

rpm about 700-750 i think. Then I noticed some smoke
from the turbine housing, so I turned the engine off.
I then realised it was some wd40 left on the housing that
was going in smoke. I also had only about 3 gallons in
the tank (I had 1 gallon of BP 89 octane I had put in the
dry tank when I got it and added 2 gallons of BP 93 octane
this weekend) so I went to fill my jerrycan and pourred 2 more
gallons of BP 93.

After that, I tried restarting but it didn't. It almost ran a
few times, but that's it...

Is there any special voodoo to do on a car that has ran out
of fuel? As I said, the tank was dry when I picked up the car.

I just realised I hadn't changed the fuel filter... maybe that's
the problem... Somebody has the beck arnley # handy?
I'll pick one up when I'll go and get my K&N filters tomorrow.

I'll grab a fuel pressure guage too to be sure.
